A GOOD few decades have elapsed since this photograph was taken at Ilkley Grammar School in a very different era.

The pupils pictured are all road safety cycle proficiency badge winners. They are photographed along with Ilkley Council chairman Fred Atkinson who presented the awards. The picture is undated.

A few decades later the ladies of St Oswald's Church in Guiseley are shown hard at work decorating the church for the flower festival.
