INTERNATIONAL trumpet star Ingrid Jensen will bring the first Orpheus Project tour to Leeds and Wakefield.
She will perform at the Heart Arts Centre in Leeds on May 28, the city’s Seven Arts the following day, and at Wakefield Jazz on June 3.
Jensen will work with three of the UK's finest improvising musicians; Jez Franks, Andy Champion and Tim Giles, developing material just before the tour.
Described as one of the most gifted trumpeters of her generation, Canadian born Ingrid Jensen is a big band soloist who spent many years with the Grammy Award winning Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra.
She currently performs with the multi-award winning Darcy James Argue's Secret Society.
