The victim had got off a bus in Layton Road and was walking near to the junction with Layton Drive when a man who had been walking towards her grabbed her as he passed. He dragged her to the floor and stole her mobile phone. The victim received cuts, bruises and grazes in the incident which happened at about 3pm on Wednesday last week.
The suspect was described as white, aged in his twenties, skinny, with a gaunt, spotty face. He was wearing a royal-blue baseball cap.
