COUNCILLORS have celebrated the official reopening of the Village Memorial Hall at Pool-in-Wharfedale.
The building has had its main hall refurbished and a new upper floor room created as stage one of a three-part scheme.
The work cost nearly £70,000 and took five months, and residents were invited along on Saturday to have a look around.
Among those attending were ward councillors Barry and Caroline Anderson (both Con, Adel and Wharfedale), parish council chairman, Cllr Hazel Lee, and other parish council members.
Village Hall committee chairman, John Porter, welcomed the guests and described the ambitious plans in place to further increase the capacity of the hall during the next three to five years.
