SKIPTON Academy student Jude Kershaw has just premiered his short film about Bolton Abbey Priory’s new lighting and visitor welcome project.
It was well received by the church's team of volunteer guides, and was available for visitors to watch during half-term week.
"It was a fantastic help in explaining both the priory’s history and the new project," said one of the guides.
The project – paid for by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and generous private donors – has helped to open up the church through a new and improved lighting and interpretation scheme.
Along with fellow year ten students, Jude also took part in a photographic project to showcase the priory, and their work has been on display in the church since April.
Bolton Priory rector, Canon Simon Cowling, said: "The photographic exhibition is an important part of the new lighting and visitor welcome project, which will enable visitors to the church to appreciate much more deeply the rich architectural and cultural heritage of the building.
"We are delighted the students have been able to help us in this way."
