A HOSPITAL charity has donated chair beds to help friends and family stay overnight with loved ones nearing the end of their lives.
The furniture, for use on wards across Airedale Hospital, was bought by the Friends group.
Staff can contact the palliative or digital care teams out of hours to book the chair beds.
Sarah Davie, a member of the palliative care team at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Relatives have been extremely grateful for use of this furniture, which can help make their final hours with a loved one less stressful.
"Many partners of our patients are elderly and have medical conditions and we need to do our best to help them."
