OTLEY may have needed the help of G4 Security after the Aire-Wharfe League annual dinner.

They picked up 12 trophies at the annual bash at the Village Hotel in Headingley, including, for the first time in the league's history, the silverware for winning the first team, second team and the third-team championship.

That treble has only been on offer since 1998, and Otley also won the Waddilove Cup, the Burmah Oil Trophy (for combined first and second team points) and third team Group B.

Apart from the six team trophies, Otley also won six individual awards, with skipper James Davies winning the First Division batting and all-rounder trophies, Paul Nicholson the first team wicket-keeping and the Waddilove Cup final man of the match trophies and Ben Lister the second team Division One bowling, while Chris Halliday shared the third-team wicket-keeping gong.
